Meet the team: Sanne van Loon

Who are the people that work at Voerman Group? How does a day in their lives look like? And what drives them to work within the moving and relocation industry? In this series of articles, we put some of our enthusiastic employees in the spotlight. This time: Sanne van Loon, 22 years old and working as a Human Development & Marketing employee at Voerman Group

From intern to official employee

Sanne started at Voerman Group as a Human Resource intern, in the context of her HR studies in Rotterdam, about a year ago. “During this period, I was able to experience and learn about all the aspects of HR, and about the entire company”. After completing her first internship, Sanne decided to pursue a second internship at Voerman. Now, she is officially employed as a Human Development & Marketing employee. “Besides my job at Voerman I am studying HR in Rotterdam. In a year’s time, I hope to graduate and pursue my career in HR.”

A family culture

Voerman is a family company. “What I enjoy most about working at Voerman is the informal atmosphere and family culture in the office. Everyone is very open and friendly, and people know each other well. At the office, there is a good mix of different ages and cultures.”

Learning by doing

Sanne uses her experiences at Voerman to develop herself towards a high skilled HR professional. Her internships and employments at Voerman give a kickstart to her career. “What I like most about my work is that I get to work on a lot of different tasks and projects, which make my job diverse. I also get a lot of freedom in my work and get the opportunity to come up with new ideas. In a short time, I have been able to do and learn a lot within this company.”

Benchpress Championships

In addition to her student and working life, Sanne has another big, special passion: sports. “I compete in powerlifting and can often be found at the gym, squatting, benching, and deadlifting. Recently, I participated in the Dutch Benchpress Championship and qualified myself for European and World Championships. Currently, I am training for the upcoming Dutch Junior Championship.”
