Moving means a life event for the entire family. Not the least for the children, who are usually not directly involved in the decision to move. Without being asked, they are faced with an entirely new situation, in which they have to say farewell to their friends, get used to a new environment, a new school and last but not least, have to start communicating in a different language.
A proper and timely preparation therefore is essential for the success of the transfer or emigration. Voerman, like nobody else, is familiar with this kind of situations. We advise how to carefully deal with this and shall gladly recommend available literature. We will also, where necessary, discuss with the employer how to best serve the employee in this respect.
A proper guidance of the children at destination can be arranged for by our relocation department. They will arrange for assistance with school selection, child care and social networks. They will also advise about available language and culture programs.
